1862 photograph of Reuben Bussey with children
Alan Goodwin describes this very early photograph: 'This is a thick glass plate image, originally mounted in a period frame with oval vignette. The back of the mount is inscribed September 1862 in what looks like Bussey's hand.'
Bussey had no children of his own but was fond of his nephew John Thomas Goodwin (born 1855) who appears in this picture. The girl has not been identified.
